Intelligent Vehicles Workshop
Modelling, Control, Navigation of electrical multi-actuated vehicles International Workshop, Université de Technologie de Compiègne - University of Tokyo The OWHEEL European H2020 MSCA-RISE Project

Université de Technologie de Compiègne, France
March 27th-29th, 2024

Robotics and automation on the development of embedded intelligent systems to advanced driving assistance and self-driving applied to multi-actuated vehicles in interaction
"...exploring the interface of the low level tire-road interaction dynamics control and the high level autonomous navigation decision system"
This three days workshop, realized on the context of the Marie-Curie European project "Concepts Towards Optimal Comfort by Automated Driving (OWHEEL)" and highlighting the collaboration between Université de Technologie de Compiègne and University of Tokyo, will receive researchers from Europe, Japan and South-Africa presenting their newest results on modelling, control and navigation of intelligent multi-actuated vehicles.

It is structured in scientific presentations and a thesis viva.
Starting with an introduction of new vehicle chassis concept and the newest wheel corner technology, passing by the advanced modelling on automated vehicle chassis, the several seminars will provide to the participants a global view on latest technologies towards optimal comfort by electrical automated driving.
Having established the principals of vehicle dynamics modelling and control, the second part is devoted to the autonomous navigation: perception, decision and control. After introducing important issues about environment perception, the bases and latest developments on vehicle autonomous navigation are stated, and considered on the principals of sensor based navigation framework.
The training activities are oriented to PhD students, but it is open to technicians and engineers working on these technological-research fields.
